The person behind the data
I'm a Senior Product Analyst based in Gresham, Oregon. I worked my way up through nearly a decade at a single company, starting in client-facing account work, moving through technical support, and eventually growing into product analysis and product management. The thread through all of it was the same: I like understanding how things work and making them work better.
I got into product analytics because I genuinely like figuring out how things work. Not just the surface-level "what happened" but the "why did it happen and what do we do about it." That kind of investigative curiosity has carried me from client-facing account work all the way through to product management, and it's the same instinct that drives what I do outside of work too.
At home, I run a Linux server in my basement. Not because I had to, but because it was the best way to actually learn. I started with game servers for friends, broke things, fixed things, broke them again, and picked up more practical Linux knowledge than any course could have taught me. That's pretty much how I learn everything: build something, see what happens, understand why.
When I'm not at a keyboard, you'll find me out on the water or somewhere in the Pacific Northwest with a fishing rod. There's something about being out in nature with no dashboards, no tickets, no Slack that resets everything. Oregon is an incredible place to unplug.
At home I'm kept in line by Thor, my long-haired chihuahua who takes his watchdog responsibilities very seriously, and Tallah, my cat, who never seems to run out of energy.
